Start Small and Make Your Goal(s) Doable

I’ve discovered a beneficial way to accomplish life goals. In my post of 12 Healthy Good Habits I listed a number of beneficial life practices to build a good lifestyle. The list may seem overwhelming at first but if you start small and get one habit down and then gradually add more habits you’ll be onto a better lifestyle in no time.

Choose a Good Habit to Adopt

Because I make regular Bible study a habit, I had it down already. But one thing that plagued me was about how to prevent Type II diabetes. So I chose to start adding water consumption to my diet to lose weight. Weight management is important for me to prevent Type II diabetes. To begin with accomplishing my goal of added water consumption, I set alarms on my phone two hours apart to prompt me to drink more water. I am not one to crave water but food when my body actually needs water.

Make Your Changes Small and Set-up Reminders

That one small change of setting alarms to go off, got me on a track for accomplishing my goal. I am challenged health wise, so I don’t operate in the realm of accomplishing goals easily. Now I’m down to one cup of coffee a morning versus drinking a whole pot of coffee and I’m drinking water regularly throughout my day.

Set-up Your Goals for Life Change

And because I made the goal doable, I’ve had success! What goal might you want to accomplish from my list of 12 Healthy Good Habits?
