Seeking Help for the Root of the Problem

Isn’t it best to keep the lungs free of impurities? Oxygen is required for a healthy functioning body. It is best to keep toxic chemicals out of them. In my list of 12 Healthy Good Habits, Number 3 on it is, Avoid Tobacco, Alcohol and Drugs (meaning recreational drugs). The harm done by tobacco use is well documented. Harm done by alcohol consumption is well documented too. Personally, I find it best to be safe rather than sorry. The harm caused by marijuana use is not as well documented.

Avoid Marijuana Use

I’ve tried CBD oil for the relief of sporadic physical pain. It was a very powerful experience for me. The relief I gained was almost immediate. I titled this blog post the way I did, so my readers could zero in on getting to the root of their problems. Marijuana use is for some people mental relief, but I don’t think we should mask symptoms with something that isn’t a solution.

Marijuana Use for Worry, Anxiety or Depression?

Psalm 118:8-9 says, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put trust in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in princes.” And in Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV) speaks of how to avoid  worry, anxiety and depression by trusting in the Lord:

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than meat, and the body raiment: Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lillie’s of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink? or “Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow : for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. “

Seek Help if Needed

So if you’re struggling with worry, anxiety, depression or addiction, seek to relieve yourself of the root problem. Trust in Jesus. And if you need further help talk to an appropriate medical professional and a pastor of a  good church to help you unbind yourself from substances that are not prescribed. It isn’t good to mask true symptoms with mind altering street drugs, including consumption of alcoholic beverages. In my Home Screen post, My Aim is Love, I help to steer people toward good churches through the sharing of an article. To learn about abstaining from alcohol consumption, read about a booklet I discovered: A Good Booklet from a Christian Point of View . It’s best to seek professional help when you need it so don’t hesitate to get good care from people whom are skilled with helping others out of  unhealthy, chemical substance use.
